Dashboard Utils (dashboard-tools)

The dashboard-tools runner (container image dashboard-utils) is the runner that publishes dashboards. It filters JSON with JMESPath, merges data service payloads, gates uploads by type and turns a payload plus a layout into a dimension. Public docs use the URL path /developers/runners/dashboard-tools/.

Node template selection

TemplatePurposeLimitationsDetails
dashboard-v2Publish a Next dashboard dimension from $heat-dataservice plus v2 layoutConfiguration.Requires normalizable $heat-dataservice. 50-realm soft cap. Not for ui/legacy.dashboard-v2 and contract
dashboardPublish a Legacy v1 dimension from facade-style JSON keys.Fixed v1 keys. Do not use for new Next work.dashboard
heat-dataservice-mergeMerge several parents’ $heat-dataservice payloads into one, joining realms by name, before dashboard-v2.Data service payloads only. Fails on a duplicate channel id within one realm.heat-dataservice-merge
json-filterExtract a JSON subset with JMESPath before aggregation.JSON only, single parent.json-filter
session-metadata-enrichCopy small KPI fields into session metadata.Object only, at most 20KB, no arrays.session-metadata-enrich
ecs-transformMap ECS event JSON to legacy dashboard fragments.ECS-specific. v1 shapes only.ecs-transform
opendis-parserParse OpenDIS PDU byte streams to JSON.DIS binary input required.opendis-parser
lattice-processorSummarize mixed binary uploads (archives, formats).Report only. Not a dashboard publisher.lattice-processor
filter-payloadGate uploads by allowedTypes.Type gate only.filter-payload
filter-nodeValidate type and optional schema after filter-payload.Parent must be named filter-payload.filter-node
session-triggerReprocess a target-node for sessions matching metadata.Operational side effect.session-trigger
