Live Ingestion
The Live Ingestion monitor shows input data landing in HEAT in real time. It answers a single question during a capture or a replay: is data actually coming in. Open Monitoring, then Live Ingestion (/admin/monitoring/live-ingestion).
Reading the monitor
Choose a Window of the last 5, 15 or 60 minutes, and optionally filter to one Project. Pause freezes the view. An Include static-backed sessions toggle adds the platform’s own system dashboards, which refresh on a schedule and would otherwise add noise.
Four counts summarise the window:
| Count | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Outputs / min (now) | The current rate of input-node outputs |
| Outputs in window | How many arrived over the chosen window |
| Active sessions | Sessions receiving data |
| Active projects | Projects receiving data |
Below the counts, a waterfall and a Streams list name each session receiving data and its rate.
Using it
When a capture or a replay should be uploading, these counts rise and the stream list names the session. If the page stays empty while data should be arriving, the data is not reaching HEAT. Check the ingest path and the project’s worker on the Projects page.
When the counts have stopped growing, ingestion for that session is complete, and its downstream nodes can be judged as finished rather than mid-run.
