This documentation is provided with the HEAT environment and describes this HEAT instance.

Install HCP MACE

Before you start

  • A licensed MACE installation on the target workstation.
  • HEAT Capture running and reachable from the MACE workstation.

VRAI builds and supplies HEATCapturePluginMACE.dll and its dependency folder directly; there is no installer and no self-service build. Building it yourself requires a MACE SDK license VRAI holds and customers generally do not, so this page covers deploying the supplied build, not compiling from source.

Install

  1. Close MACE if it is running.

  2. Obtain the HEATCapturePluginMACE.dll build and its HEATCapturePluginMACE\ dependency folder from VRAI for the hcp_mace version you are deploying.

  3. Copy both into MACE’s third-party plugin folder:

    C:\Users\Public\Documents\MACE\PlugIns\ ├── HEATCapturePluginMACE.dll └── HEATCapturePluginMACE\ └── HEAT.ProtoLib.CSharp.dll

This is a fixed location MACE itself scans - not configurable, and distinct from MACE’s own Extensions folder (which is for Bohemia Interactive Simulations’ own plugins only).

  4. Start MACE. Open System Settings → Third Party Plugins and confirm HEAT MACE Capture is listed and enabled.

  5. Configure the HEAT Capture base URL - see Configure.

⚠️

If the plugin does not appear in the Third Party Plugins list at all, MACE rejected the DLL silently - it does not log anything for this case. See Troubleshooting.

Verify the install

Start a mission with HEAT Capture running and a user signed in. Check C:\Users\Public\Documents\MACE\output\mace-info-log-*.txt for:

PlugIn HEAT MACE Capture (...) has been loaded.

Confirm data is arriving by checking HEAT Capture’s own session view for the MACE workstation.

Uninstall

Remove HEATCapturePluginMACE.dll and the HEATCapturePluginMACE\ folder from C:\Users\Public\Documents\MACE\PlugIns\. Settings are stored separately, in MACE’s own per-user XML settings directory as HEATCapturePluginMACE- followed by the mission config name and .xml; removing the plugin DLL does not remove them.

Opens your browser's print dialog. Choose "Save as PDF" as the destination.
