Scratch Files
The Scratch Files page is a file browser over the cluster’s scratch volume. The volume holds environment assets, ad-hoc operator files and update payloads. Open Operations, then Scratch Files (/admin/operations/scratch-files).
The browser
A breadcrumb starts at the scratch root. You can create folders, upload files or a whole folder, and drag files onto the panel to upload them. Each row offers Download, Rename and Delete.
Two quota panels at the top show the space used: a Public assets quota for files served to the browser, and the overall Scratch volume with the space reserved for backups and platform history.
A file can carry two badges:
- public, meaning it is served to the dashboard without a sign-in, under a public assets path.
- read-only, meaning it cannot be changed from here.
Environment assets
The main operator use of this page is environment assets that the dashboard reads at render time. A dashboard that draws a map over terrain, for example, loads the ground imagery, height map and overlays from a public folder under the scratch volume. Those files are delivered as a signed patch and marked public so the dashboard can fetch them.
You do not normally edit environment assets by hand. Use this page to confirm the expected files are present when a dashboard renders without them, and to read the quota when storage is tight.
