Varjo gaze module

The Varjo gaze module reads eye tracking, head pose and (optionally) stereo H264 video from a Varjo headset, through a native bridge DLL (VarjoGazeBridge.dll) that wraps Varjo’s own SDK. The bridge ships bundled inside this module’s own package - it is not a separately installed component, unlike the OpenXR module’s API layer.

What you need

  • A Varjo headset with the Varjo Base runtime installed and running.
  • Video capture (EnableVideoCapture) requires an active Varjo Pro licence. Neither this module nor its bridge checks for that licence in code - the requirement is stated in the setting’s own tooltip, and whatever enforcement exists happens inside Varjo’s own runtime, not in code this documentation can verify. See Troubleshooting if video never appears.

Interface Control Document

See Interface control document for the managed/native ABI, buffer ownership, Varjo runtime lifecycle, serialized frame handoff, video timing and diagnostics.

Pages

  • Configure: calibration, video capture and polling settings - including a setting that must not be raised carelessly.
  • Data produced: what is published, and how gaze and video frames relate to each other.
  • Troubleshooting: symptoms, causes and fixes.
