Dimensions
A Dimension is the dashboard-facing result a session publishes. It is what an instructor opens in the HEAT dashboard. The Dimensions page lists every dimension across all sessions in one place, which the per-session Dimensions tab does not. Open Data, then Dimensions (/admin/dimensions).
The catalogue
Each row is one published dimension. Filter by dashboard version and sort by name, number of users or date. A row shows the dimension name, the number of users who may see it, its dashboard version and its date, with these actions:
- Details opens the dimension, with its layout configuration, its users and its raw payload.
- Session opens the session that published it.
- Open and Open (legacy) open the dimension in the HEAT dashboard, on the Next or the Legacy renderer.
The dashboard version is Next for the current dashboard generation or Legacy for older templates that still use per-widget JSON.
Using it
This page is the fastest way to audit what the environment is publishing to trainees. When a session appears to publish the wrong dashboards, or a stray dimension from a test run needs finding, the catalogue lists them all with the session and the layout behind each one. Removing an unwanted dimension is done from the session that owns it.
